How to balance classes, work, and study

College weeks rarely fit a 9–5 grid. This full-week template runs later into the evening so campus jobs and weekend library time show up next to lectures.

  1. 1. Block classes and shifts first — they are fixed. Anything with a start time from your employer or registrar goes on the page before you negotiate study hours.
  2. 2. Schedule study like another class. Label library or problem-set blocks so they compete with free time instead of disappearing into “later.”
  3. 3. Use weekends intentionally. Sunday review and Saturday shifts are visible here. A weekday-only timetable hides that load.
  4. 4. Reprint when the semester changes. Update the week-of date or clear blocks and rebuild. Keep a blank PDF master for mid-semester schedule swaps.
